Book a Commercial Workshop
mmc2015 will continue the acclaimed programme of special "Hands-on" workshops. They enable the visitor to learn more about the practical details of the conference topics and microscopy in general.
Exhibitors can book workshops at £100 +VAT per one 45 minute session. RMS Corporate members are entitled to one free workshop.
Timings
The lunchtime workshop slots are marked in red. Lunch will take place between 1200-1400 on Tuesday, 1200-1330 on Wednesday and 1130-1400 Thursday. There will be an exhibition, posters and refreshments period between 1600-1800 on Tuesday and Wednesday and 1130-1400 on Thursday. Please click here for a conference overview.
Workshop titles and abstracts
It is up to the company presenting the workshop to decide on the subject matter. A suggestion from the Corporate Advisory Board of the RMS was that company workshops could be presented by your customers who have experience with your products. This could help attract more workshop attendees and exhibition visitors.
Your workshop topic may relate to one of the conference sessions within the conference. Please check the conference overview and bear the conference timetable in mind when deciding when you wish to have your session, as to avoid clashing.
Please try to include your session title where possible.
You will also need to provide a short abstract. This must be submitted as a word document between 150-300 words and may include images if you wish, please send to by Monday 1 May 2015 at the latest. This will then be linked from the commercial workshops page under features on the mmc2015 website and published in the workshops programme at the congress.
Location
The workshops will take place in the four purpose-built theatres within the exhibition hall. Workshop theatres 1 & 2 have capacity for 32 delegates and workshop theatres 3 & 4 have capacity for 40 delegates. They are marked on the floorplan. If you have a preferred location, please note this on your form. Each workshop theatre will have a table, laptop and plasma screen to display your presentation, along with a lead scanner to record delegate data for retrieval after mmc2015.
